Free Services On Offer in Boost to Breeding Industry
Breeders are to be provided with an unexpected filip this season under a joint initiative between the Ballarat, Cranbourne and Kilmore clubs to give away five stallion services to some of the state’s leading sires.
“We realise it’s getting a little late in the breeding season but we are hoping to entice broodmare owners to breed a mare that they otherwise may not have considered putting in foal this year,” explained Cranbourne President David Scott.
“The clubs have purchased bookings through our various associations with a number of pre-eminent studs and will each conduct individual draws at their upcoming race meetings to give away the services.”
To participate broodmare owners simply need to register with each club before noon on the day of the draw by emailing a completed copy of the attached entry form. Note that individuals may participate in more than one club draw. Individuals do not need to be on course to win but attendance is welcomed.
