Committee Notes

The quality of the Vicbred has never been questioned and the month of May delivered a more 'superstar' moments. The team of Greg Sugars and Jess Tubbs, and long-time HBV member breeders Yabby Dam Farms, were responsible for one of those, across the Tasman Sea at Alexandra Park. It is never easy for our Aussie horses to beat the Kiwis in their own backyard but Just Believe did it in style - congratulations to all involved.

In the lead up to breeding season, HBV are busy putting together the next Stallion Guide, and exploring with HRV ways to give breeders confidence in their decision-making coming into August. We hope that everyone's mares are on track to deliver their healthy Vicbred bundles come spring and encourage you to explore our Breed To Succeed video series and foaling down resources to help get the most from your investment in 2024.
