Victorian Harness Racing Industry Rally

Sunday, 25 August – Bendigo 12.30pm

The Victorian Harness Racing Kindred Bodies are encouraged by the overwhelming support we have received following the announcement of the Harness Racing Industry Rally this Sunday at Lords Raceway, Bendigo, at 12:30 PM.

At the Rally, the Kindred Bodies will present an update on the current state of the Industry, outlining the roadmap for the years ahead, highlighting both opportunities and challenges, and discussing how we can all make a difference right now.

We will focus on the major issues and insist that everyone in attendance maintains a respectful and professional demeanour throughout. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions, share insights, and present ideas.

We understand that some participants have racing commitments later that evening at Cranbourne. We are aiming to allow these participants to leave by 1.45pm providing in most cases sufficient time to travel to Cranbourne.

We recognise that many Industry people wish to attend the Rally but are unable to do so for various reasons. While we would typically offer a live stream for such events, it is crucial that we have a strong physical presence at this Rally. Providing a live stream could reduce attendance, potentially undermining our efforts to achieve our objectives.

For those who cannot attend but would like to express their support, we are happy to record your apology and solidarity. To register your apology, please email the Victorian Harness Racing Club at vhrsc@vhrsc.com.au. Apology sheets will also be available at the Rally on Sunday. We will also provide an update after the Rally for those that were unable to attend.

Understanding that many Industry participants will be travelling considerable distances to attend, we will be providing food and beverages for all in attendance.

If you care about the future of Harness Racing in Victoria, it is essential that you join us at the Industry Rally this Sunday at 12:30 PM in Bendigo. Together, we can fight for a brighter future for Harness Racing in this State.

Together, we can make a difference!
